Hello and Welcome to my Cattery.
My name is Wendy Huppe (sounds like "puppy"). My husband, Garry, and I live on a small acreage just South East of Bragg Creek, Alberta, Canada.
Cats have always been a part of my life. Even in my baby pictures you'll find a cat in my arms. I knew that one day I would become a breeder, but I had no idea which breed I would choose. With the possible harm that is presented to the out door cat and the cat bylaws now in force in some of the cities I knew I wanted to breed a cat that was content to be inside and loves people. I have worked with Ragdolls for 10 years and now I am working with Somalis. Both breeds love their human companions and are very content to be indoors. The Somali is an extraverted cat. They are high energy and have a high metabolism. They love to be busy with their family. They are curious and acrobats. They will surprise you. They are very loving to their human families. I call them "extreme machines" as they are extremely busy running and playing around the house and when it comes time for their human cuddle they are extreme cuddlers. They love to push right into you for warmth and love.
I have a small cattery, currently one male and three females. My cattery is registered with The International Cat Association (TICA).I am working with the traditional colors of the Somali - red, ruddy, blue and fawn.
My kitties live underfoot in our home and receive a lot of love and attention, even when they hog the bed.
I do attend and participate in the TICA cats show in Western Canada as well. Tao, my male, has been extremely successful at impressing the judges. :)
